Ooni Karu 16 Review


If you're anything like me, you know just how satisfying a freshly baked pizza tastes. With that crisp golden crust, savory pepperoni, creamy parmesan cheese, and sweet caramelized onions, nothing tastes quite as delicious as a fresh, homemade pizza just out of the oven.

Without a doubt, homemade pizza is the ultimate comfort food, and should be regarded as a culinary work of art. I'm just am ordinary person like yourself, but I need to tell you about my experience with the Ooni Karu 16 pizza maker, and how it has taken my culinary skills to a new level!

Back Story

I've always considered myself to be quite a pizza connoisseur, as well as an expert baker. I have dazzled my friends and family with my delectable skills in the kitchen.

 Because of this, I recently decided to treat my friends and family to a small dinner, where I was going to be showcasing my culinary skills for the first time. What was on the menu?

A plethora of pizzas piled high with a dazzling array of savory toppings. I've never owned a pizza oven, and usually just baked my creations in an ordinary stove.

Little did I know, that baking my pizzas in this ordinary kitchen stove would have such an unfortunate and embarrassing consequence!

As my friends and family chatted with each other, and eagerly waited for my fabulous pizzas to finish baking, I fluttered about busily in the kitchen.

My ordinary oven in the kitchen can usually bake a single pizza with relative ease, however, my anxiety piqued as I realized this would not be the case today.

I had eight pizzas with numerous toppings to cook, and my ordinary oven could only handle one at a time! 

To make matters worse, each pizza took me at least ten minutes to bake! Before I knew it, my guests began to question me on my methods and whether or not I could actually deliver an amazing dinner.

After an hour and a half, my guests took it upon themselves to just order pizza from a local chain restaurant.

Talk about humiliating!

It ended up taking me nearly two hours to bake those pizzas, and they were ultimately not that great. In fact, some were a little soggy. To this day, my friends won't ever let me live down my own personal "Pizzagate".

I was convinced that there had to be a faster, more efficient, way to cook pizzas. I began looking into what I could do in order to make sure I would never be embarrassed like that again.

What I love the most about the Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven, is how quickly it is able to heat up to it's maximum temperature.

Within fifteen minutes, this stylishly sleek oven can reach 900 degrees Fahrenheit (500 Celsius), which effectively cuts down cook time.

Another great feature of this pizza oven, is that you are able to use whatever fuel you prefer to cook with!

Whether you enjoy the relative ease of cooking with gas, or prefer to use wood and charcoal, you are guaranteed to have fabulously baked Neapolitan style pizzas every time. 

Door Feature
